The acrylic tube holds a total of 50 individual 1/10 oz Gold Eagles from the 2024 release. The tube holds a total of 5 Troy oz of 22-karat gold, with each Gold Eagle boasting 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver.
The American Gold Eagle has seen various ebbs and flows in demand over the course of nearly 40 years in production. The 1/10 oz Gold Eagle holds the distinction of boasting the highest single-year mintage recorded in the program’s history. The 1999 release saw more than 2.75 million coins sold in this weight.
Lady Liberty is on the obverse of 2024 American Gold Eagles. The image shown here is a 1907 design from Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The image shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other.
An American bald eagle is found on the reverse of 2024 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coins. In this design from Jennie Norris, the head of the bald eagle is shown in intricate detail in left-profile relief. This design was created in 2020 and debuted in mid-2021 for the 35th anniversary of the series.
